Officers of Air Force Research and Development Center visit T.I.P.

Selected representatives of the Air Force Research Development Center (AFRDC), support unit of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), visited the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) to establish possible partnership and research collaboration with the school.

The AFRDC team, composed of military personnel and engineers, was led by Captain Rex B. Barrameda, Head of the Aerospace Engineering Department of the Philippine Air Force.

The visit is in line with AFRDC’s aim of forging linkages with private industries, government agencies, and schools for research and project development purposes.

The visiting officers expressed their interest in collaborating with T.I.P. on an extension research related to humanitarian assistance and disaster risk mitigation. Cadetship opportunities for the T.I.P. engineering students were also discussed.

Present to welcome the AFRDC team were T.I.P. President, Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz and the officials of T.I.P.’s academic and research groups headed by Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Cynthia Llanes, and Research Director for T.I.P. Manila, Dr. Drandreb Juanico.
