T.I.P. hosts e-learning capacity building of the Bangladesh Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education

The Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) in coordination with the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) hosted the Bangladesh Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education in a capacity building activity on e-learning last Tuesday, August 18, 2015.

Twelve (12) Bangladesh officials composed of key officials of the ministry of education, directorate of secondary and higher education, management leaders, teacher leaders, and representatives from other government bureaucracy learned the best practices of T.I.P. along ICT implementation.

The T.I.P. President, Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz, welcomed the Bangladesh officials and gave a talk about the best practices of T.I.P. in the areas of outcomes-based education and international accreditation. The general overview on T.I.P.’s ICT integration in the instructional process was presented by the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Cynthia C. Llanes. The roundtable discussion was facilitated by The Vice President for Quality Management and Planning (VPQMP), Engr. Jemuel C. Castillo, and the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA), Dr. Bartolome T. Tanguilig III. Concerned deans, officers, and faculty members were also invited to share their best practices on ICT integration. A tour of T.I.P. ICT facilities was also conducted.

The Bangladesh officials were expected to gain insights on the Integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the instructional process of T.I.P. and be able to concretize the action steps to strengthen their ICT in education.
