T.I.P. successfully transitions and re-certifies quality management system to ISO 9001 version 2015 (ISO 9001:2015)

The Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) proudly announces the transition and re-certification of its Quality Management System (QMS) to the international quality management standard ISO 9001 version 2015 (ISO 9001: 2015). The transition and re-certification audit was conducted by Det Norske Veritas-Germanischer Lloyd (DNV-GL) through their audit team led by lead auditor Mr. Peter David Dombey.

It can be recalled that the institution’s QMS was certified compliant to the international standard ISO 9001 since 1999, or for a total of 18 years to date. The ISO 9001: 2015 standard demands a high degree of leadership commitment and is reinforced by risk-based thinking. This successful long-term certification is a positive demonstration of the committed engagement of the whole T.I.P. community, indicating a clear desire to embrace the standard as a fundamental element to satisfy the needs and expectations of its various stakeholders, and as an enabling tool for the continuous improvement of its processes, physical plants, and systems.

The transition and re-certification audit was facilitated by the institution’s Quality Management Office. The current certification cycle is valid until the year 2020.
