Universitas Lambung Mangkurat benchmarks with T.I.P.

School officials and faculty members of the Indonesian Institution, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), visited the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) Quezon City to benchmark with the school on September 22, 2016. The visit was done in coordination with the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) under its Learning Program on Embracing Quality Assurance and Accreditation project.

The 23 visiting participants were welcomed by T.I.P. officials, deans, and program chairs. The group came to T.I.P. to learn about its best practices on international and local accreditations. A short tour was also conducted to show the school facilities and laboratories.

T.I.P. believes that a school cannot claim excellence in education without external validations of such claim. Through the years, the school has strived to provide the best quality education to its students by having its programs internationally and locally accredited by well-respected and recognized organizations. T.I.P.’s engineering and computing programs are recognized by ABET, the global gold standard in engineering and computing education accreditation, and the Seoul Accord. Its other programs are also recognized by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACUCOA), the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) and Philippine Computer Society (PCS) Information and Computing Accreditation Board (PICAB).
